Como reactivar el complemento EPM

Esta es una incidencia que le ocurre bastante a los usuarios finales de SAP BPC, es decir del EPM 10 Cliente de Excel.
¿Que es se lo que se tiene que hacer si el complemento EPM se ha desactivado? ¿ Puede volver a activarlo. ¿Como?

Al abri el Microsoft Office Excel 2007, haga clic en el botón Office y, a continuación, haga clic en el botón Opciones de Excel.


Seguidamente en el cuadro de diálogo "Opciones de Excel", seleccione los Complementos.

A continuación seleccione "Elementos deshabilitados" de la lista desplegable de Administrar y haga clic en el botón de "Ir".

Ya falta menos. En el cuadro de diálogo "Elementos deshabilitados", seleccione nuestro maravilloso SAP BusinessObjects EPM Solutions, complemento para Microsoft Office y haga clic en el botón Habilitar.
Ya esta, haga clic en el botón Cerrar

Si uste tiene el Microsoft Office Excel 2010, haga clic en Archivo, a continuación Opciones y luego en Complementos.

En el área Complementos de aplicación inactivos, seleccione "Complemento EPM para Microsoft Office".

Luego en la lista desplegable Administrar , seleccione “Complementos COM”.

Haga clic sobre el cuadro de diálogo "Complemento EPM para Microsoft Office" que aparece.

Si usted domina in poco mas las este es un consejo rápido: reactivar rápidamente el complemento EPM ejecutando AddinManager.exe desde la carpeta de instalación y seleccionando Habilitado en el cuadro de diálogo que se abre.

Algunas dudas sobre SAP BPC 10.1 FAQ

Ha salido una nota que al leerla me dije !!Bien algo más de Infornación sobre la nueva versión!!! Esta es  la nota 1966663  - “BPC 10,1 Frequently Asked Questions” nota sobre SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 10,1 for SAP NetWeaver.

El complemento EPM ¿Que es?

El complemento EPM (a día de post estamos en el SP14) es un complemento para Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Office Word y Microsoft Office PowerPoint. EPM permite analizar datos. 

Este complemento se ha diseñado para proporcionar acceso a datos de producto de SAP Business Objects EPM Solutions, transformar esos datos en tiempo real en una forma que admita la generación de informes, y proporcionar herramientas de generación y entrega de informes. Asimismo, el complemento también permite analizar los datos de varias solucione EPM al mismo tiempo.

El complemento EPM permite analizar los datos de los orígenes de datos OLAP que se indican a continuación:
• Cubos de SSAS creados con el diseñador de cubos de SAP BusinessObjects Financial Consolidation.
• SAP NetWeaver BW InfoCubes creados con el diseñador de cubos de SAP BusinessObjects Financial Consolidation. 
• Modelos de SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management. 
• Modelos de SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation, versión para SAP NetWeaver.
• Modelos de SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation, versión para la plataforma Microsoft.

El complemento EPM permite también introducir datos en los modelos de SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation, siempre que utilice la conexión adecuada. Al trabajar en una conexión de planificación y consolidación, se agrega la ficha Administrador de datos a la cinta de Microsoft Office Excel.
 
El administrador de datos es un módulo de Planning and Consolidation que ayuda a trasladar datos al sistema, copiar o mover datos en las aplicaciones y entre ellas, y exportar datos de una aplicación para utilizarlos en una herramienta externa.

Cómo cambiar el work status mediante Script Logic utilizando BAdI

Espero que pueda servirte de ayuda. Hace un par de días me encontré con una situación que es, un poco, inusual. Estaba realizando tareas y desarrollos con los estados de trabajo y de bloqueo en determinadas regiones de datos. Me encontré con este post que me ayudó bastante.
Es un articulo muy interesante el que he encontrado en el SCN.

SAP BPC ¿Como crear Informes comparativos?

El informe comparativo compara dos Categorías (por ejemplo, Real vs Presupuesto) para un período específico y YTD.

Se puede utilizar la plantilla para comparar información o se puede utilizar para construir un nuevo presupuesto.
Se puede usar cualquier dimensión en las filas, y las dimensiones Categoría y Periodo (Ejercicio) de Tiempo en las columnas.


Por ejemplo:

Configuración de MemberSet, KeyRange

• Conjunto de miembros fila (Row): Dimensión CUENTA con LDEP (2), SELF
• Conjunto de miembros con columna (Column) estática: Dimensión CATEGORÍA con ACTUAL y PRESUPUESTO
• Dimensión MEASURES con PERIÓDICO | YTD (acumulado anual)

El ColKeyRange aparece junto al título de la fila. Esta ColKeyRange compara los datos actuales con los datos periódicos del Año. Puedes utilizar un ColKeyRange estático en todas las columnas, por lo que la fila es una expansión dinámica de la actual miembro de vista, dimensión Cuenta

Migrar de la versión SAP BPC 7.5 a la versión SAP BPC 10.0

Estoy en estos momentos con una migración de SAP BPC 7.5 a SAP BPC 10.0 en versión NW.

Existen tres escenarios de actualización: NOTA( hace falta user ID SAP)

-       Actualización directa de un sistema existente
-       Actualización de una copia de un sistema existente
-       Instalación de un nuevo sistema e importar los datos existentes

Como consideración inicial se tiene que el sistema BW sobre el que se instalará BPC 10.0 deberá ser la versión 7.3.

Escenario 1:

El servidor existente se actualizará a la versión 7.3 de NetWeaver y de la 7.5 a la 10 de Planning and Consolidation. Esta opción sólo sirve para actualizar el sistema desde la versión 7.5 de BPC y para ellos se utilizará el programa de migración “UJT_MIGRATE_75_TO_10.Debido a que utilizamos un único sistema, éste dejaría de estar disponible para los usuarios y si surgieran problemas podríamos perder información.

Por lo comentado, esta solución no es aconsejable

Escenario 2:
Este escenario tiene la ventaja de combinar simplicidad y seguridad.

Realizaremos una copia del sistema y ejecutaremos el programa de migración “UJT_MIGRATE_75_TO_10” sobre dicha copia.

Escenario 3:

En este escenario se realizará la instalación de un sistema BPC 10 y después importaremos los datos del sistema en 7.5 utilizando UJBR. Los entornos serán migrados de la 7.5 a la 10 utilizando el programa de migración “UJT_MIGRATE_75_TO_10”.

Recordar que la migración será en parte automática y en parte necesitará la intervención del usuario.

Técnicamente los entornos son migrados de la versión 7.5 a la versión 10 utilizando el programa “UJT_MIGRATE_75_TO_10”

-       Todos los datos serán migrados

-       Toda la configuración de Administración será migrada

-       Habrá algunos cambios de nomenclatura y situación de algunas configuraciones

-       Los usuarios se crearán en BW y se mapearán desde los usuarios del sistema de 7.5 utilizando una hoja de cálculo

-       La Seguridad será migrada, pero habrá algunos cambios

-       Los Journals serán migrados

-       Las Business Rules serán migradas

-       Las Validaciones serán migradas (en la versión 10 se llamarán Controls), con algunos cambios

-       Los elementos de Data Manager serán migrados, pero los logs no

-       Los Live Reports no serán migrados

-       Los elementos del Content Library serán migrados pero con algunas limitaciones

-       Los Business Process Flows serán migrados

-       Los Excel Reports y Templates podrán ser migrados pero con limitaciones

-       Los Custom Menus no serán migrados

-       Las soluciones a medida utilizadas en la 7.5 no funcionarán en la 10.

Os iré comentado casos que pueden seros útiles a la hora de la migración. Igualmente espero vuestros comentarios. Mas información

Apuesta por SAP BPC . . . ¿IP?, ¿BPS?

Hace unos cuantos años, mas o menos 5, es cuando llega a la órbita de SAP una nueva solución para EPM.

Esta solución se llama Outlooksoft, que luego pasa a llamarse SAP Business Planning and Consolidation. Desde aquella han pasado ya por mis manos la versión 5.x , luego 7.0 , 7.5 y finalmente la SAP BPC 10.0 tanto versión NW como MS.

Cuando SAP compro esta solución, muchas fueron las dudas de los clientes entorno a las soluciones que SAP tenía para cubrir las necesidades de planificación o hasta cuando tendrían soporte las herramientas de planificación actuales.

Estas herramientas de planificación son BW-IP o BW-BPS (SEM-BPS). Como he dicho al principio del post, ya han pasado cinco años y todavía muchos de los usuarios no lo tienen muy claro.

Desde SAP aconsejan constantemente que para las nuevas implantaciones de planificación, elaboración de presupuestos y consolidación se debe utilizar SAP BPC.

Está claro que la estrategia de SAP es SAP BPC, ¿Porque? - como diría Mourinho - “si un producto tiene planes de desarrollo sobre SAP HANA, este producto tiene futuro". Y esto es lo que ocurre con SAP BPC. No te arriesgues en tu estrategia EPM, para garantizar nuevos desarrollos la mejor solución es SAP BPC, la más segura.

EPM Comment Functions Work with Full and Partial Context

Full Qualified Context Comment

The comment with full qualified context is the comment added using EPMSaveComment function, BPC Web UI or EPM Add-in Comments button on EPM tab. This comment has all the dimension members specified.

Partial Qualified Context Comment

The comment with partial qualified context is the comment added with some of the dimensions members as “None Specified”.

Saving and Retrieving Comments

Full Qualified Context Comment

EPMSaveComment will always save full qualified comments and if no member is specified, it will be taken from the current context. When using BPC Web UI or EPM Add-in, you must specify all the dimension members.
To retrieve full qualified context comments in an Excel sheet, you can use the function EPMCommentFullContext or EPMSaveComment but note that EPMCommentFullContext is specific for retrieving comments.

Partial Qualified Context Comment

This type of comments cannot be added using EPMSaveComment but only using BPC Web UI or EPM Add-in Comments button on EPM tab.

To retrieve the partial qualified context comments in an Excel sheet, the function EPMCommentPartialContext must be used and using BPC Web UI or EPM Add-in, you should select “All Members” in the respective dimension.
